Our Story

Avabird Crafts is a small business run by myself, Gillian.

I am based on the beautiful Island of Orkney, Scotland where I am a busy mum of three, Home Economics teacher and farmer’s wife.

I started my peedie business in 2018 making bunting and selling it at the local Christmas craft fayres. I enjoyed it so much that I have since added to my bunting collection by making bespoke children’s clothes (mainly dresses, thanks to my daughter, but hoping to expand on that!), crafts and becoming a stockist for the beautiful Lewis and Irene fabrics.

In recent times I have also been very busy making face masks.
